Central Italy Saturday 07/26 3:30pm-5pm

$75.00

Central Italy, home to Tuscany, and its legendary grape Sangiovese aka The Blood of Jove, a reference to the Roman God Jupiter. But beyond Chianti, Brunello, and those controversial Super Tuscans, Central Italy is blessed with a broad range of amazing wines.  Umbria, known for the white wine Orvieto, a blend of Trebbiano and Grechetto, and the powerful red Sagrantino, nicknamed "The Beast" for its bold, tannic profile. Le Marche, where the white grape Verdicchio reigns supreme, while its southern neighbor Abruzzo boasts the popular Montepulciano, the second most planted red grape in Italy. And don't sleep on Pecorino, a crisp and refreshing white wine from Central Italy's eastern coastline.

On Saturday July 26th from 3:30-5:00pm, Melanie Talks Wine explores Central Italy in part 2 of our 3-part Italian Wine Series. Eight wines will be examined and discussed, and complementing cheese and charcuterie will be served. All featured wines will be available for purchase at 50% our regular menu prices. So bring your wine bags and come join us for all the tasting, learning, and good times. Salute!
